Dr. Patrick Hu is a pharmaceutical industry veteran. With 40 years of life sciences experience, including 24 years as a US-licensed physician and surgeon, and 16 years of hands-on work experience at major pharmaceutical companies in China and the United States, Dr. Hu brings a wide breadth of knowledge to Amador.

In 1998, he founded Zhiqiang Hu, MD and Associates, which now has a several locations across the United States. Before joining Amador, Dr. Hu held medical director positions at Merck, Abbott, and AstraZeneca. During his tenure he led and/or participated in many important medical projects, specializing in drug safety.

Dr. Hu holds a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Pathophysiology from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, and a Master of Science for Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Department of Medicine and Pharmacology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his medical residency at the New York University School of Medicine.
